Microsoft to allow anti-virus makers access to Vista code · 19. October 2006, 12:42 by Stuart Mudie

I wrote recently about how anti-virus makers were protesting about Windows Vista’s new security model, which they claimed “locked out” their products.

Well, it seems Microsoft has reconsidered its position on this and will now provide access to the kernel of the 64-bit version of Vista.

  1. Did Microsoft reconsider it or was it under the watchful eye of Brussels? This seemed to be at the crux of one of the primary issues in Europe.
